The Final Problem – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
* This book is available at LoDingo.com *Sherlock Holmes’ determination to destroy the powerful criminal organization of Professor Moriarty reaches its crisis as Holmes and Watson attempt to track down and finally apprehend the criminal genius behind the most foul and evil events plaguing the good people of England.
This story, set in 1891, introduces Holmes' greatest opponent, the criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty.
Holmes arrives at Dr. Watson's one evening in a somewhat agitated state and with abraded knuckles. He has apparently escaped three murder attempts that day after a visit from Professor Moriarty, who warned him to withdraw from his pursuit of justice against him to avoid any regrettable outcome.
Holmes has been tracking Moriarty and his agents for months and is on the brink of snaring them all and delivering them to the dock. Moriarty is the nexus of a highly organised and amazingly secret criminal force and Holmes will consider it the crowning achievement of his career if only he can defeat Moriarty. Moriarty, of course, is out to thwart Holmes' plans and is well capable of doing so for he is, as Holmes admits, the great detective's intellectual equal.
About the Narrator
David Ian Davies is a talented actor and acclaimed dramatic reader that has given voice to the popular Star Wars video games and many classic stories, including works penned by Shakespeare, HG Wells and Oscar Wilde. His Sherlockian audio performances are arguably his best to date, with reviewers raving about his truly amazing skill in bringing the stories to life.
“…to refer to David's Sherlock Holmes productions as simply dramatic readings is a major understatement, as he brings a wonderful range of distinctly unique voices into play as he essays each of the characters, creating a marvelously layered and rich listening experience that showcases Arthur Conan Doyle's masterful use of language.”
